Thai Mixed Breed Dog Missing in Brockton
Last seen on Tuesday March 11, 2014 at Jaeyon is a 25-lb spayed female. She is primarily black, with a thin white stripe exactly bisecting her nose, a large white patch on her chest, short white socks, and a tiny tuft of white on the tip of her tail. She was last seen wearing a red nylon webbed collar. She has a 15-digit international ISO microchip, so please be aware that not all American microchip scanners can read this chip. Her coat is short-haired to medium-haired in length. She is a Thai mixed breed dog, but would probably be described as a very small lab/dachshund mix (she has short legs and a long body) by someone in the USA. Jaeyon was rescued from the illegal dog meat trade of southeast Asia. She was adopted into a home here in the USA (the southeastern Massachusetts area) and arrived on Saturday, March 8. She was successfully picked up at the airport and brought to her new home, where she spent three days in the company of her loving mom and new dog siblings. On the evening of Tuesday, March 11, she was walking with her mom at the D.W. Fields golf course in Brockton, Massachusetts (approximately one hour south of Boston) when she was spooked by a loud noise and slipped her leash. She was sighted on the same field shortly after. She is a very friendly girl, but a little shy because of her past experiences. She is also culture-shocked, exhausted after her long journey here, and presumably quite cold having come from the tropical heat of Thailand.
